Triple Threat Musical Theater Program
Designed to help your future star become a true ‘total’ performer, The Ridgewood Conservatory’s new Triple Threat Musical Theater Program for offers talented children and teens the opportunity to explore the magic of Broadway, the delights of movie musicals, and the excitement of pop culture in a full semester of voice/acting and dance workshops.
Working under the direction of well-known professional vocalists, actors and dancer/choreographers, your student-performer will learn how to tell a story through song, explore the various acting and stage techniques specific to the musical theater, and develop the skills necessary to combine movement and music through dance, all in a collaborative group setting.

Fall 2017: SEPTEMBER 4, 2017 – JANUARY 28, 2018
Spring 2018: JANUARY 29, 2018 – JUNE 24, 2018
Explore the wonders and talents of such famous Broadway and move musical composers as Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Sondheim (to name just a few) in our one-hour Voice/Acting Workshop.
Learn improvisation and acting techniques, stage presence, how to prepare a song, duets and group numbers, artistic resume writing, audition techniques and so much more in a collaborative group setting.
Then the next hour in the Dance Workshop learning Broadway-style choreography (a mashup of ballet, jazz, tap and more) designed to bring those same musical numbers to life on the stage.
*Available for ages 8-18, with a minimum of one semester of study. Acceptance by audition and placement according to ability.
TWO-HOUR WORKSHOPS EACH WEEK
JUNIORS (8-11): WEDNESDAY 6-8PM
SENIORS (12-17): FRIDAYS 5-7PM
(other days/time may be available)
Tuition: $799 per semester plus $25 materials fee
** Multiple performances at charitable events and local venues to be scheduled each semester! **
(Participation in these events is eligible for credit in most school programs.)
